TigaStor is situated close to
Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, giving easy access to Heathrow,
London, Motorways and Silverstone.
Accommodation
Cars are stored in secure, dry
airy buildings, which are used for car storage only. If required a
dehumidified environment can be supplied at slightly higher cost.
Our buildings are insurance company approved, and fitted with
intruder alarms.
Routine Care
At commencement of storage, cars are washed, leather dried and the
interiors valeted; tyres are inflated to 45lbs.sq.in, and, prior to
delivery, fluid levels are checked and tyre pressured corrected,
including the spare.
Whilst in storage we recommend that Battery Conditioners are fitted.
(See price list). On older cars batteries are disconnected.
Maintenance Programme
The secret of keeping a car in good condition during a period of
storage is to carry out a regular maintenance programme. TigaStor
was one of the first companies to offer professional car storage in
1982, and instigated many of the practices now common amongst
storage companies.
We are confident that our routine maintenance programme is the best
available. We advise that it is carried out at (maximum) 13 week
intervals, although we are happy to carry out the wishes of the
owner.
Before starting the car, oil, coolant etc. is checked. The car is
then started and gently warmed up. Temperatures are carefully
checked and when warm, the car is given a light exercise inside our
property, to circulate oils, greases etc. A comprehensive list is
then completed and presented to the owner.
Availability
Although our service is geared towards long-term storage, cars are
always available at reasonably short notice, including weekends. If
a car is removed from storage for a short period there will be a
charge of £30 for preparation and valeting on return. Owners are
always welcome to come for a chat, even if they do not wish to take
their car out.
Notice
Cars can usually be removed from storage at 24 hours notice.
However, if the car is to be removed permanently, all charges up to
the date of removal must be paid prior to removal. We have no
minimum period.
Insurance
Our responsibilities are covered by full motor trade policies. You
should ensure that your car is covered for fire, theft and
accidental damage. (If required, we can arrange this cover for you).
Please advise your insurers that your car is stored with TigaStor.
Transportation
We are able to arrange collection and delivery of cars to and from
any specialist restorers, racing circuits, airports etc.
M.O.T. Testing and Servicing
Cars can be prepared for the M.O.T. Test and Test Certificates
obtained. Our mechanic can carry out routine servicing and repairs.
Shipping and Airfreight
We are able to arrange for the collection of cars from the Docks,
etc. and also have experience of the exportation by sea and air of
both cars and motorcycles.
Inspection
We are happy to inspect any car which an overseas client was
considering purchasing from a dealer or a private seller. A report,
with photographs, is provided, which can remove some of the common
frustrations involved in purchasing at a distance. This service
would be charged at cost.
